Surprise 40th

I flew to Buffalo NY on Saturday to go to my sisters Surprise 40th Birthday party. I arrived on time and my sister from Florida was able to fly in as well so it was going to be the 4 sisters together again. The last time all of us were together was in 2003 so it was over due.

Everyone got to the house and waited for the Birthday girl to arrive and when she opened that door she was so Surprised.. Everyone yelled SURPRISE!!!!! She looked all around and was so happy and yes she was crying.I was up stairs with my younger sister waiting for everything to sink in and called her on one of the guest cell phones. I asked her if she was Surprised and she said yes, as I am talking to her we are walking down her stairs with everyone looking at her. I started to cry as I approached the last steps and told her to look around the corner she said what? When she saw me we just hugged and then she saw our baby sister from Florida and she just hugged us both for a long time.
The party was fun and we went swimming at midnight and just laughed the rest of the night until around 3:30 am.

While I was in Buffalo over the summer I remember my sister telling her Husband more than anything even a party she would want her sisters to be together. Well I am so happy it worked out because she is the most kind hearted person I know and she really deserved this .My Sis is not only my sister she is my Best Friend. Happy 40th !!!!

Days are to long.

My days are to long and I am really bored. School started August 27th and my son goes from 7:40 am until 3:00pm but every Tuesday they get out at 2:00pm. I have been a Stay at home Mom for the past 6 years and I have to say I loved every moment I had with my son. I am now left alone and I can only clean the floors and dust SO MANY TIMES. I am looking for part time work and I hope to be working by next week.
My friends think I am nuts and say they would kill for the free time and play tennis or go shopping but thats just not me. If anyone out there has any ideas or Real work at home leads please let me know, there are a lot of bogus ones out there. The picture is of Me,my niece, nephew (in the blue) and my son on our visit in Florida.

Wish me luck.

Four Legged Friend

I know not everyone is an animal lover but some of us are and this is a story for them.
My sister has no children so her dog Maisy 8 years old is her pride and joy. First a little about Maisy and all her followers she loves cats, butterflies, and all the children on the block that come to her while she is on the front lawn, oh and the UPS guy who she likes. Maisy would do a summersault on the grass in the back yard trying to keep up with a butterfly. She loved people and listened so well.In March of this year Maisy got sick and developed a lump on her throat the vet did a biopsy and said she was fine. The next few days Maisy didn't get any better and the vet went on vacation so my sister took Maisy to a different Vet. Well it turned out that Maisy wasn't fine she had cancer but one that could be treated so for the next 19 weeks Maisy was going to receive Chemotherapy. The first treatment was bad and Maisy was sick but the following treatments went fine. I came to visit and could not believe how well Maisy looked and how she was like a puppy again. We took her every Monday for her treatment and she was as happy as could be. Before I left Maisy was done with the first half of her treatments she had no been feeling well so the held off until she was strong again. I left and said goodbye knowing in my heart Maisy was going to be that one dog that pulled it off and got better. Just so you know when a dog gets cancer some can be treatable but a dog will not go into remission but a few have lived for 1-2 years. Well after I left Maisy got sick and my sister did everything she could for her but I say this with a heavy heart, September 8th 2008 Maisy lost her battle with cancer.

About me

Hello everyone my name is Denise. I grew up in Buffalo New York and Moved to S.California after High School in 1986. I have been here since but I sure miss the people, the food, going to Sabres Games & Canada for day trips. I have always loved Arts & Crafts and started making Jewelry 3 years ago when a good friend of mine Janet Curry of Laguna Beach introduced me to it. While shopping online for supplies I realized that on some sites you had to search so many different windows or you'd end up in the wrong place, That is when I had my online store created something simple and easy to find things Even my Mother can find items and she does not like computers.March 2007 Itstuesdazjewelz.com went live.

2008 Update -

My husband and I have one Son and tried many years to have him. We finally did IVF and the second one worked in 2002 we had our son. We have since tried 5 more IVF'S but they did not take. We looked at adoption and decided to be Foster-Adopt Parents. We have finished all of our classes and I am happy to say we are now certified and we await a child. We picked this because there are children out there who just really need a place to call home and in our research we found Olive Crest they are a wonderful organization and we look forward to working with them.
